kahit na mag c-call center ako... i did promise myself that i would NEVER NEVER forget the things i learned as a THOMASIAN nurse.

hahaha... tawang tawa ako dun sa MRI thing. really! they didn't know that a dye was going to be injected?... 'hospital policy'...what a safe answer...but it's not acceptable! dyan pa naman gigil na gigil ang mga CI natin... especially if you're the team leader!
and THE endorsements play a big part sa duties db? wala ba silang worksheet? :)
AND the #1 rule: ALWAYS check the patient's chart!

hay hay...
it can get really crazy when you take care of someone in a hospital, haha...being familiar with most procedures and nursing responsibilities, and THEN...you see the hospital staff not doing their job properly!

anyway, let's not forget...once upon a time, we were also like that. as beginners, we had our share of embarrassing and zoned out moments! but then, the nurses in your story were RNs already...whatever happened to...COMPETENCE?

so guys.. ill be working soon... im still going to consider myself a semi-bum (meron bang ganun?!) hahahaha
yes i won't be able to apply my knowledge and skills as a nurse (maybe some though)... just one thing i guess, i want to be as competent as i can be. here is a good opportunity, and i'm just going to make the most of whatever this is!
and oh, sobrang change of plans na ito!!!!!

when the guy at epixtar told me: "congratulations...ill see you around".... waaah! it didn't sink in just yet... at that moment...not until i got home and i remembered our clearance day (after the CHAOTIC clinical-instructor hunting days...) sa ed tech room when the clearance professor said: "tapos ka na sa lahat? well.. congratulations, ggraduate ka na!" and she gave me a great smile.....parang...wow...i made it...
